The Big Read 2010 was a hit!!!

participated in The Big Read Project in conjunction with Cumberland County Public Library on April 20, 2010. The crowd participation in the discussion of Carson McCullers novel The Heart is a Lonely Hunter was energetic and lively. The program began with Evelyn Council, Associate Library Director reading from the first page of the novel.

The program began with Evelyn Council, Associate Library Director reading from the first page of the novel.The remainder of the discussion was facilitated by Shamella Cromartie.
Several audience members read passages of interest to them.
At the end of the discussion prizes were raffled off to audience members. Refreshments were also served at the event.
