What is open access? According to the Library of Congress, open access refers to " a publication model where in neither readers nor a reader's institution are charged for access to articles or other resources. Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles." The Directory of Open Access Journals aims to cover all subjects and languages and currently contains 3,539 journals in its directory including 1,210 searchable at article level.
